KITCHEN/HOME HYGIENE (PART 3)

OUR SPIRITUAL FOOD
Todays message says, “WE ARE SAVIOURS”. And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’S (Obadiah 1:21).
What this verse means is that, the spiritual ones shall rise, and they shall judge the mount of Esau.
God has raised you to bless and deliver others. You are called to make the world a better place. Therefore look out for a human need, and reach out to meet that need, with the mentality of a saviour and a champion.

Today’s post is a continuation of our kitchen/home hygiene.
Specifically, i would focus on the sub-heading called,

“KITCHEN PLANNING”.
As i earlier said, kitchen is a production center were the preparation of food is done.

KITCHEN EQUIPMENTS AND TOOLS

1. KITCHEN EQUIPMENTS
When we say kitchen equipments, it simply means, those materials found in the kitchen or materials needed to perform a certain job in the kitchen that are not moveable frequently, such as,
i. Refrigerator
ii. Cooker
iii. Washing sinks
iv. Cupboard e.t.c.

2. KITCHEN TOOLS
these are usually moved about in the kitchen when needed, such as the,
i. Trays
ii. Plates
iii. Cooking pans
iv. Spoons
v. Egg whisk e.t.c

N/B: When selecting both kitchen equipments and tools, the following must be considered.
1. The size of the kitchen
2. Available financial resources for maintainance
3. Family size e.t.c

TYPES OF KITCHEN EQUIPMENT AND THEIR USES
The following are few lists of equipments and what they are used for.
1. Cooking pan
it is use in preparing different meals and also for steaming.
2. Trays
it is for serving of food and also used for carrying vegetable food, Fruits and drinks.
3. Plates and Cups
for serving dishes such as food and liquid substance.
4. Mortar
used for pounding food like, yam, palm Fruit e.t.c
5. Kettle
for boiling of water
6. Knife
it is for cutting, slicing and chopping of vegetables, Fruits e.t.c
7. Fixes or large equipment
these are gas cookers, refrigerators, e.t.c, they are usually fixed in a particular place.
8. Bowl
for washing food item and mixing of dough.
9. Fry pan: for frying
10. Scale: for weighing of fours, e.t.c
