CAKE MAKING PART 1

OUR SPIRITUAL FOOD
the message fot today says “Don’t Neglect Spiritual Details” and it goes on by saying in proverbs 4:13, take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
As you walk with the Lord and carry out that which He instructs you to do, you must painstakingly pay attention to spiritual details because of their importance.

Today i will be discussing on “What Cake Making Is All About And The Equipments To Be Used” in our subsequent post i will discuss about the 2nd Part of it.

Cake making is an elaborate process (as a professional you must know all the steps involve in cake making). I will love to take my time to teach all my readers How to make Cake right from the scratch to the finished stage.
Due to this, i will segment it into four parts, as listed below.
1. To Know What Cake Making Is All About And The Equipments To Be Used.
2. Cake Presentation And Colour Interpretation.
3. Cake Baking
4. Covering Of Cake (Cake Icing).

PART 1
WHAT CAKE IS ALL ABOUT AND THE EQUIPMENTS TO BE USED.
In Cake Making, strictly adherence to specified recipe is very important. Quantity measurement must be accurate through the use of scale.

STORING INGREDIENTS
Ingredients use in cake making must be properly kept in order to maximize success in cake making. Listed here are some methods of storing ingredients.
DRY INGREDIENTS: These include flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar etc. These must be stored in air tight containers to avoid attack by weevils from the flour, baking powder, baking soda and coldness of the sugar.

DIFFERENT METHOD OF CAKE MAKING
1. CREAMING METHOD: This is
the term used
when a cake is
made with
butter and icing sugar.
2. RUBBING -IN METHOD: Its used for cakes that do not
have a large amount of fat compared to flour.
3. WHISKING METHOD: Used for making light sponge cake.

PRESERVATIVE IN CAKE MAKING
The use of brandy is the commonest preservative in cake making

TESTING CAKES
Testers are metals or stick often used to check when the cake is properly cooked and ready to be removed from the oven. However, slim and hygienic stainless steel metals such as the lower ends of spoons and forks can also be used. Cakes can also be seen or taken to be properly cooked when the cake seperates itself from the sides of the baking tin/pan.
